Michelle also helps families of missing children keep their child’s face and case visible through national media outlets including “America’s Most Wanted” with John Walsh on Lifetime, HLN’s Nancy Grace Show, “Issues” with Jane Velez-Mitchell on HLN, Fox News, CNN’s Larry King Live, and People Magazine.
Robin Helm, B.A.
Secretary and Gift of Lift Program Chair

Robin Helm received a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2012, after working as a special education paraeducator with the Vancouver Public Schools for 10 years. Desiring to alleviate suffering while working within the family system, Robin joined the Clark County Juvenile Court in 2013 as a Family Assistance Specialist to work with families facing the added challenges of mental illness.

Wanda Costi

Treasurer and Co-Founding Advisor

Wanda Costi  retired as Director of Finance at The Westin Portland and has over 46 years in hospitality financial management in Oregon and Washington. 

Through professional contacts, she joined Soroptimist International of Portland over 25 years ago and has served two terms as President as well as many of the other offices and directorships.  The Soroptimist mission of improving the lives of women and girls in our local communities and throughout the world took her to the region level, serving as District Director over Western and Central Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Carolyn  Pillsbury, B.S.

Carolyn was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington and has lived her entire life throughout the communities of Clark County.  Pillsbury holds a Science degree, is married and has three beautiful children. After 14 years as an insurance agent, she and her husband, a retired Lieutenant & Commander of the Drug Task Force they both joined in partnership and opened the Pillsbury Insurance Agency, LLC


Natalie Brand, M.P.A.

Communications Director

Natalie is an award-winning reporter at KING5 in Seattle where is reporter on politics.  Politics touches just about every aspect of life, which is why the public deserves in depth and understandable political coverage.  In order to become a better political reporter and watchdog journalist, Natalie Brand returned to school as a mid-career student and received a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Prior to grad school, she worked in broadcast news for over a decade, in markets including Phoenix, Portland and Palm Springs.  She's won multiple awards for breaking news coverage, including a Golden Mike, Regional Edward R. Murrow and an Associated Press Television-Radio Association (APTRA) award.  She was named APTRA Reporter of the Year in Palm Springs in 2009.  Natalie is a co-founding advisor of NWCAVE and currently serves as national communications director.
